Summer's been steady - and honestly, that's not a bad thing.
More inventory has hit the market, which means buyers have options they didn't have six months ago. If you've been waiting on the sidelines, August felt like a breath of fresh air. More homes to see. Less pressure to make snap decisions.
That said, it's clearly a buyers' market right now. Sellers who are pricing strategically and presenting their homes well are still getting results. But the days of throwing a home on the market and watching multiple offers pour in? That's not where we are.
The Bank of Canada made their first rate cut in four years back in June - and while the market hasn't done a full 180, we're starting to feel it slowly build. Confidence is creeping back in for buyers who've been on the fence.
My advice? Don't wait for a "perfect" signal. There isn't one. The best time to move is when it makes sense for you - your life, your goals, your timeline.
